Description

The group makes a circle. The facilitator can introduce a certain theme or leave everything to the participants’ imagination. One person goes into the centre and takes a still position/stance with his/her body, another person then enters and responds to that person’s stance with a stance or position of his/her own. A third person enters, taps one of the two persons on the shoulder and takes his/her place, making a new stance. The person who is tapped says “thank you” and leaves.

In this game new stories are being told by shape alone. As a variation, scenes can be played out, using the new entrances to start a new scene. A caller (facilitator or participant) can decide when to call “Freeze” so the scene comes to a standstill and a new person can tap either of the two persons on the shoulder and start a new scene.
