The participants sit on chairs in a circle. With 20 participants, for example, they are divided into 5 groups, each group representing one country. The best way to do this is by counting (e.g. 1st participant = UK, 2nd participant = NL, 3rd participant = SI, 4th participant = PT, 5th participant = HR, and then start from the beginning: 6th participant = UK, and so on).

One participant stands in the middle. He/she calls the name of one country and all participants from that country have to get up from their chairs and swap seats with one another, while the participant from the middle also tries to catch a seat. The participant who is left without a chair has to go to the middle of the circle and call the name of another country now. It is also possible to call the names of 2 or 3 countries at once. If the person in the middle says “Europe salad”, all participants have to get up and swap seats.
